The vision for Stockholm Royal Seaport 2030

Stockholm Royal Seaport is a sustainable urban district, characterised by dense, multi-functional and resource-efficient development, an urban environment with an integrated green structure and proximity to the surrounding nature.

The urban district incorporates the unique features of the area, such as Gasverket, the existing Hjorthagen district, the energy and industrial environment, port/city interaction, the water milieu and the Royal National City Park.

Stockholm Royal Seaport is a model of sustainable urban planning and plays a key role as a source of knowledge and inspiration in international collaboration, exports of green technology and expertise in sustainable urban development.

Climate targets

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to become a climate positive urban district.
  • By 2020 carbon dioxide emissions will be less than 1.5 tonnes per person.
  • By 2030 Stockholm Royal Seaport will be fossil fuel-free.
  • Stockholm Royal Seaport will be adapted adapted to future climate changes.

Ecological sustainability targets

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to have a limited impact on health and the environment.
  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to be an urban district with a green structure that  supports and develops the ecosystem and biodiversity, as well as upholding valuable ecosystem services.
  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to use limited amounts of energy, materials, water and other natural resources.
  • Stockholm Royal Seaport has focus on sustainable energy use, ecocycle solutions, environmentally efficient transport and buildings, and sustainable production and consumption patterns.

Social sustainability targets

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to be an urban district with sustainable lifestyles where “doing the right thing is easy,” and where people living and working in the area develop their knowledge and ability to live and act sustainably.

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to invite those living and working in the area to take their own initiatives for creating well-being and a high quality of life with good health, social relationships and low environmental impact.

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to promotes social integration and interaction through mixed forms of tenure including tenant-owned apartments, rental apartments, housing in a range of sizes and integration with the existing development.

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to be a multi-functional and safe urban district with integrated activities, housing, services, accessible healthcare and education, and a diversity of urban spaces that are vibrant and accessible to everyone at any time of the day.

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to offer a range of opportunities for recreation and culture close to parks and green spaces, and to cultural activities in the urban district.

Economic sustainability targets

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to reuse land efficiently with an effective mix of existing and new, where the cultural heritage and built environment is protected and safeguarded.

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to be an economically viable urban district that combines housing and services with commercial activities, and offers those living and working in the area a local range of environmentally profiled retail and services, as well as advanced Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services that are accessible to everyone.

  • Stockholm Royal Seaport is to contribute to innovation, development and the marketing of Swedish green technology, expertise in sustainable urban development and the development of sustainable businesses with sustainable products and services.

  • During the construction of Stockholm Royal Seaport, the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) principle is to apply, which means focusing not only on the costs of investment but also on costs throughout the building/facility’s entire life cycle.

    Beskrivning

    De övergripande målen med Norra Djurgårdsstaden är att möta stadens växande behov av bostäder samt att vara ett föredöme för hållbar stadsutveckling. Detta sker genom att omvandla tidigare industrimark till en attraktiv och levande stadsdel med minst 12 000 lägenheter och 35 000 nya arbetsplatser där innovativ miljöteknik främjas.

    Beskrivning

    Den 11 oktober 2010 godkändes det övergripande programmet för miljö och hållbar stadsutveckling i Norra Djurgårdsstaden.

  • Genomförande

    Totalt har mark för cirka 5 100 bostäder anvisats till 51 byggherrar.

    Just nu

    Cirka 1000 lägenheter är inflyttade i den andra etappen Västra. Staden arbetar med finplanering av gator, torg och parker.

    Husproduktion i den tredje etappen Norra 2 pågår med första inflyttning våren 2016 och färdigställande under hösten 2017.

    Markrening pågår i delar av Gasverket.

    Gatu- och ledningsarbeten för andra etappen av nya Bobergsgatan beräknas starta våren 2017.

    Beskrivning

    Kvarteret Riga, byggt av Vasakronan står färdigt.

    En lekplats i första etappen.

    Tre nya fotbollsplaner med konstgräs på Hjorthagens IP invigdes 6 oktober 2012.

    Bygglogistikcenter vid parkeringen i Ropsten.

    670 bostäder är färdigställda för första etappen Norra 1.

    Värtaterminalen öppen sommaren 2016.
